What services do the Jamerson forensic nurses perform?
Assist law enforcement in suspected abuse cases through comprehensive
evidence collection performed in an efficient and expert manner that
follows all legal rules of evidence gathering.
Provide attorneys with consultation services and expert witness
testimony.
Serve physicians as a source for forensic assessment of suspected abuse.
Perform assessments of sexual abuse and collection of rape kits on-site
at hospital emergency rooms or in the JFN office.
Provide human service agencies, such as domestic violence shelters,
with domestic abuse assessment (sexual and non-sexual).
Assist County Coroners with evidence collection and abuse assessment.
Facilitate greater understanding and promote intervention with regards
to violence, abuse and trauma through educational in-service and
training for companies, human service agencies, churches, schools,
law enforcement and legal groups.
