Charla M. Jamerson Charla Jamerson is a registered nurse who holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Mrs. Jamerson has advanced training in forensic nursing and forensic science and holds a graduate certificate in forensic nursing from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Mrs. Jamerson holds three specialty certifications and has an extensive background in teaching and lecturing both nursing theory and clinical nursing, and served as adjunct faculty with Har-Ber School of Nursing for five years. In September of 2000 Mrs. Jamerson was asked by the local FBI to perform seven adult sexual assault examinations and collect evidence in which she collaborated with the FBI to provide these services. Charla is an active member of both the American College of Forensic Examiners International and the International Association of Forensic Nurses. Mrs. Jamerson serves as chair for the American Board of Forensic Nurses through the American College of Forensic Examiners International. Charla Jamerson has performed over a thousand forensic medical examinations on patients throughout the lifespan ranging from infants to elderly. In September of 2003 Mrs. Jamerson established her clinic; Jamerson Forensic Nursing & Investigative Services, Inc. Mrs. Jamerson collaborates with a wide variety of multidisciplinary professionals and plays an active role in providing education and in-services to professionals and students in the Northwest Arkansas and surrounding communities. ![]()
Andrea Hudson Andrea Hudson started her nursing career nearly ten years ago as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN.) She has a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Arkansas and continued her education at Northwest Arkansas Community College where she received her associate degree in Registered Nursing. Andrea has a diverse background in nursing and has experience in many different types of nursing such as medical-surgical, pediatrics, physical rehabilitation, geriatrics, obstetrical -gynecological, psychiatric nursing, and she has completed sexual assault nurse examiner training. Andrea's strengths and interests lie in forensic medicine and investigation strategies. Her approach to patient education promotes enhanced knowledge to patients and families across the lifespan who have endured violence. Andrea's skills at collecting physical evidence and forensic interviewing are a strong asset in assisting law enforcement in their investigation, and the promotion of truth, objectivity and justice. ![]()
Alieca K. Sipes
Alieca K. Sipes is a Registered Nurse with a degree from Har-Ber School
of Nursing. She was a graduate from Springdale High School in 1985 and
has spent most of her life in Northwest Arkansas. She is married with 3
children and plays an active role in the Springdale School System.
Alieca has worked in many different areas of nursing including
Oncology, Gynecological/Obstetrics, Surgery including Post-Operative
and Recovery, Medical-Surgical, and has completed sexual assault nurse
examiner training. Alieca's interests lie in forensic nursing for her
strong belief and desire to play an active role in the community to
help victims of violence. She believes that extensive patient and
community education is needed to help decrease the patterns of violence
in Northwest Arkansas and surrounding communities. She uses her
experience with physical assessments, collection of forensic evidence,
and forensic interviews to assist our Law Enforcement Agencies and to
help meet the needs of our community to help the victims of violent
crimes.
Nina Vella
Nina Vella graduated from Fayetteville High School in 2002. Nina has been a certified nursing assistant and active in patient care and patient education for the past five years. She currently attends the University of Arkansas where she is pursuing a bachelors of science in nursing and plans to graduate in December of 2006. While at the University she has provided rape education services to fellow college students and was a peer leader in the University of Arkansas RESPECT program and served as peer chairman for the Take Back the Night march in 2004. Nina’s experience in assisting victims of violent crimes led her to an interest in Forensic Nursing and to a position as a forensic assistant with Jamerson Forensic Nursing & Investigative Services, Inc. Nina’s extensive experience in assisting victims of violent crime in the recovery process and her compassion and drive for positive healthy outcomes is an asset to Jamerson Forensic Nursing and to the numerous patients we serve in Northwest Arkansas and our surrounding communities. ![]()
Andi Wise
Andi Wise graduated from Siloam Springs High School in 2002. She then went on to complete two years of college course work at the Northwest Arkansas Community College including, a background in psychology and public relations. Her key clinical focus lies in providing advocacy services to victims of violence. She has completed courses offered by the National Children’s Advocacy Center including, Developmental Perspectives on Child Sexual Behavior in Children and Adolescents, The Medical and Developmental Effects of Domestic Violence on Children, The Emotional Effects of Domestic Violence on Children, Standards for Prevention Programs, and Working With the Non-Offending Caregiver. Andi also assists with forensic examinations and administrative operations at the clinic. |
